DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) - 65-year-old Larry D. Lewis of Dothan was found dead Friday on his farm in Henry County.

He is believed to have died from multiple snake bites.

Henry County coroner Derek Wright says he first thought Lewis had died from a heat stroke, but when he found snake bites on Lewis's body, he changed his mind.

Wright says Lewis was bitten on the right side of the neck and the right hand.  He believed the bite in the neck made the attack fatal.

His son found Lewis collapsed next to a tractor in a field.

The snake wasn't found, but coroners believe it was likely a rattle snake.
