Pike Liberal Arts School Teacher a Class Act

Troy, AL (WSFA) -  There's something special about Pike Liberal Arts School in Troy.   "I like the fact that it's just like a family," teacher Daisy Hollis said.  "You can keep up with students you taught in the past and see how their doing as they get older."    And Ms. Hollis has tracked a lot of students.   She's been taught here for 32 years and she's this week's Class Act.

This will be Ms. Hollis' last year in the classroom.  She's retiring this year.  So what will she miss the most?  "Their smiles, and hugs, they just come in ready to do their math and spelling."  She's touched so many lives in this Pike County School and it really is like family.  She's had the chance to teach all 6 of her grand kids.

Congratulations Ms. Daisy Hollis, you're this week's Class Act.
