Two unlikely traveling partners, liberal Rev. Al Sharpton and conservative Newt Gingrich are joining forces! The two men, from opposite ends of the political spectrum are on the same road promoting education.
After starting his day with the Breakfast for Babies fundraiser, Sharpton traveled to Tuskegee where he, Montgomery businessmen Greg Calhoun and Milton McGregor were honored for their contributions to education.
Gingrich couldn't make it to Friday's appearance, instead sending a staff member, but Gingrich, Sharpton and Education Secretary Duncan are all slated to be back in November for another appearance promoting the value of a good education.
Rev. Sharpton also made appearances at Booker T. Washington High School and Tuskegee University.
