MTSU visits Troy in key Sun Belt matchup

TROY, Ala. (AP) - The Troy Trojans are facing a top challenger in the Sun Belt Conference.

The Trojans host Middle Tennessee on Tuesday night, seeking their fourth straight win in the series and to hold onto the Palladium Trophy that goes annually to the winner.

Middle Tennessee's spread offense is run by coordinator Tony Franklin. Franklin is the former offensive coordinator at Troy and Auburn.

The Trojans (2-2, 1-0) have won two straight games. Middle Tennessee (3-1, 1-0) has also been rolling since losing the opener, including wins over Memphis and Maryland.

The game features the league's top two quarterbacks.

Troy's Levi Brown is the No. 1 passer. Middle Tennessee's Dwight Dasher is the No. 2 passer and No. 5 rusher.
