MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The Montgomery Police Department is searching for an attempted murder suspect who shot a man over $5.00.

Investigators say the 29-year-old suspect fired the shots on Oakleigh Drive around 8:30 Tuesday morning. The SWAT team was brought in to help with the search.

The team staked out the home of suspect Patrick Adams on Hurlston Drive, but the search came up empty.

Adams is considered highly dangerous and is armed with a gun.

Investigators say he was arguing with the victim because the victim owed him $5.00. Adams then allegedly pulled out a gun, shot the victim and sped away.

Now authorities are asking for the public's help in finding the man.

The shooting victim, who isn't being identified, was transported to Baptist South hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
