PENSACOLA, FL (WSFA) - The actions of a South Alabama man led to a lockdown at the University of West Florida in Pensacola Tuesday.

Bruce Day of Escambia County is wanted in connection with a murder that happened 8 years ago.

When a man matching Day's description was seen near the school's Baptist Student Center, authorities spent five hours looking for him.

They were not successful but the lockdown was called off.
