Phase one of project is set to open December 1st and with the deadline quickly approaching developers plan to hire hundreds before the start of next month.
Karen Wilson hopes to move from Carrollton, Georgia to Houston County real soon. She ran a restaurant back home but recently had to sell her business.
"I've been busy for years, and all of a sudden I'm not busy,' says Wilson.
She's ready to go back to work and hoping to find a new job at Country Crossing.
"I found it exciting, challenging and I wanted to be able to get in on the ground floor," explains Wilson.
She is just one of a hundreds who filled out applications to work at the entertainment venue.
"I think we expected to have a fairly high volume," says Karla Daniels.
Karla Daniels oversees the hiring process and says close to 500 people need to be hired for the entire development in the next two weeks.
"We want to pull out the cream of the crop, we want to give everybody that wants to be here an opportunity to apply and we're going to have more jobs as the other phases open and we're looking for more than a thousand people," says Daniels.
And that's good news to Wilson.
"The more places that can open up, it's not only a boom to the economy it's the fact that people are going to be able to be employed again and have some of their pride back," says Wilson.
Wilson says she hopes she's one of the hundreds that back at work when the doors open in December.
