MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Governor Riley is giving the state department of post secondary an extra $1.4 million to help Alabamians who have lost their jobs learn new skills.

The money will allow the state's 2 year schools to allow up to 450 workers to attend or receive training from a private vendor.

The goal is to get workers back in the job market.

Contact your local career center to see if you qualify.
