Third person pleads guilty in Dothan slaying

DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) - A third person has pleaded guilty in connection with a fatal shooting at a nightclub near downtown Dothan.

Albert Lee McLeod, 25, pleaded guilty Tuesday to felony manslaughter for his role in the August 2006 shooting death of 21-year-old Byron Belser at the Champagne Lounge. He was sentenced to serve 20 years in prison.

Prosecutors say McLeod was charged as the getaway driver in the shooting.

A jury found Kenneth Adam McKinnis guilty last year of capital murder for Belser's death and a judge sentenced him to death.

And 24-year-old Kyle McIntosh was sentenced to 15 years in prison after he pleaded guilty last year to a felony manslaughter charge for his involvement in the shooting.
