Tuskegee murder case ends with guilty verdict

Macon County, AL (WSFA) - Four years after the deadly shooting in Tuskegee, there is a guilty verdict.

James Gregory Sears was convicted of murdering Michael Maddox. Maddox was shot and killed outside Club Mason in Tuskegee in 2005. Jessie Maddox, the victim's mother, tells WSFA 12 News it is sad that it took four years to get a verdict, but she is happy Sears is behind bars.

Sears will be sentenced December third.
