Montgomery, Ala. (WSFA) -- Slow down! The newest red light cameras will start taking pictures Tuesday in Montgomery.
One of the cameras is at the Taylor Road entrance to East Chase. The other one is at the intersection of Vaughn Road and the bypass.
These cameras have been in place for several weeks; but starting at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, you'll get a ticket if they catch you. After the light turns red, the camera starts clicking, snapping a picture of anything crossing the white line.
Then the city will send red light offenders a citation for $60.00 along with a picture in the mail. The citation, however, will not count as points against your driving record.
