Bomb threat shuts down Elba schools

ELBA, AL (WSFA) - The city of Elba evacuated it's elementary and high schools today after they received a bomb threat. Authorities made the decision to send kids home right after lunch was ending.

The Fort Rucker Bomb Squad was called in to look through buildings and cars. Around 4pm, buildings were cleared and no bomb was located.

Elba police are tracing the call right now. They tell us that the person responsible will face serious charges.
