UA star Cody look-alike fools some on jury duty

BAY MINETTE, Ala. (AP) - A man bearing a strong resemblance to Alabama defensive tackle Terrence Cody spent his morning on jury duty in Bay Minette being asked for autographs.

Willie Holmes of Foley had to explain that he is not the football star.

A judge even approached the 21-year-old Holmes after rumors spread that Cody was one of several hundred people to report for jury duty Monday at the Baldwin County Courthouse.

An amused Holmes said the judge asked him if he was the massive player known as Mount Cody.

Although he is 6-foot-3 and 304 pounds, Holmes is not quite as big as Cody. Alabama's defensive star is listed on the school's roster as being 6-foot-5 and 365 pounds.
