Construction at Country Crossing is nearly complete

DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) - Construction on Country Crossing the multimillion dollar entertainment venue in Houston County is almost complete.

Over four hundred people are working daily, 24 hours a day seven days a week.

Phase one of the multimillion dollar project is set to open in four weeks.

"Everyone knows 27 days till we're open for business and all 8 venues, so everyone is really excited we are getting down to the final crunches finishing touches are going on, landscaping the last parking lot is being paved tomorrow we're really excited," says Mark Sheldon, VP of Construction for Ronnie Gilley Properties.

Crews are on a set schedule with everyone working to meet the December 1st deadline.

"I know there was this concern but at the same time, no body quit and everybody has pulled together to work in the same direction," says Sheldon.

And despite rainy weather which has caused some headaches, Sheldon says amazed at where this project has come from.

"It's been an amazing amount of rain to finish up the roads the streets the infrastructure, and just the buildings themselves it's not something we expected to have but it's just one of the challenges in the obstacle course we've overcome," adds Sheldon.

And there's no slowing down once the gates open work will begins right away on phase two.
