MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Kay Ivey, Chairman of the PACT Board Wednesday announced that a Task Force of the PACT Board has been tasked to develop a solution for the PACT funding problem that seeks extensive involvement of colleges and Universities and significant support of Legislators.

Ivey's office says the proposal will focus on cash flow needs of PACT to meet students' tuition needs for appropriate funding at the appropriate time.

She add that the Board will meet frequently through the holidays and the Legislative Session to review the progress being made.

The goal is for a proposal to be brought to the Board for consideration as soon as possible.

"If effort and good faith is required this will NOT be lacking," Treasurer Ivey said. "The PACT Board is committed to working with all parties to achieve a funding solution for all eligible PACT students."
