Montgomery, AL - (WSFA) - During a routine head count Saturday morning, Montgomery City Jail personnel found Frenardo Provitt unresponsive on his bunk.
Nurses rushed to his cell, and they immediately called an ambulance.
Paramedics took Provitt to Jackson Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Right now, no cause of death has been identified, but hospital staffers say they found no signs of foul play.
The 34 year old had only been at the jail for four days before his death, on charges of domestic violence.
The Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences will now conduct an autopsy.
The ABI has taken over the investigation.
