Governor Riley named Patriot of the Year

MOBILE, AL (WSFA) - Governor Bob Riley celebrated veterans day in Mobile.

The Governor served as Grand Marshall of a parade and rode in a military vehicle.

During Wednesday's ceremonies, he was also named "Patriot of the Year" by Mobile Bay area veterans.

He was given the award because of his dedication to the state's veterans and his support of the military.

Riley is the first Alabama governor to receive the award.
