MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Montgomery County EMA Director Steve Jones says Dozier Road will remain closed until at least noon Friday.
The road was closed at 3am Thursday morning because of rising river waters that pooled over the roadway.
Jones says the water is receding but an engineering team needs time once the water is completely gone to inspect the road. That inspection is planned for Friday morning.
Drivers should continue to seek an alternate route around Dozier Road until it is cleared.
