MPD seizes huge amount of cash

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - A routine traffic ends with Montgomery Police finding hundreds of thousand of dollars in cash!

On Tuesday, police stopped a tractor trailer in the construction area of Interstate 65 for speeding.

After the driver gave consent to search the vehicle, authorities found a secret compartment with 19 bundles of money that added up to be more that 383 thousand dollars!

The driver of the big rig denies knowing about the money and right now does not face any charges at this time.
