MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - She greets them with a smile, and has their attention all day long. Mrs. Diane Holtam from Blount Elementary School is this week's Class Act. She loves third grade. "I always felt I was born to teach," Holtam said. "It's one of the most fulfilling things in the world to me."
Mrs. Holtam has been in the classroom for 20 years and spent the last six at Blount. One parent says she always keeps her classroom neat and organized and she passes those skills on to the kids. And Mrs. Holtam loves her kids. "I love seeing the kids grow and the relationships we develop with the students and their parents."
One big change she has seen over the years, new technology. "The power of technology is phenomenal. I use power points and you can look around and here a pin drop, they really pay close attention."
In Mrs. Holtam's class they're always paying attention. She's a school favorite and a real Class Act.
