Auburn's Lebo signs 6, including Shawn Kemp Jr.

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - The son of former NBA all-star Shawn Kemp was among six players who have signed to play basketball for Auburn.

Coach Jeff Lebo announced Wednesday that the Tigers signed 6-foot-10, 215-pound center Shawn Kemp Jr. He is a former Alabama signee who is now attending Hargrave Military Academy.

Auburn also signed three forwards and two guards. The group includes forwards Heath Houston, Allen Payne and Adrian Forbes. Guards Jalen Steele and Anthony Salter also signed to play for the Tigers next season, when they move into a new arena.

Forbes and Salter are both junior college transfers.

Lebo says he feels really good about his latest class. He says the prospects are tough kids who are used to winning.
