Southern chef Paula Deen hit by a ham

Atlanta, GA (WSFA) -- The TV queen of Southern cuisine Paula Deen hit in the face with a ham.

It happened Monday morning while she was helping deliver food for Thanksgiving to the less fortunate. Deen threw a ham to a volunteer, but wasn't quite ready when a ham was thrown her way.

"I turned around to take another ham off the truck and turned around and all of a sudden this ham that weighed two hundred pounds hit me full on into the face and about knocked me cuckoo, but I'm fine, said Deen."

"Maybe it knocked some sense into my head," she said.

Deen was not injured in the incident.
