BIRMINGHAM, AL (WSFA) - A wiregrass mother will be in Birmingham giving a free seminar to parents of autistic children. Ashford resident Angie Marshall noticed when her son Charles turned one that something was not right. Charles was diagnosed with autism at 22 months old. Unwilling to accept the diagnoses, Marshall made a deal with God.
Marshall said, "God please give me the knowledge so that I can help my son. And if you are willing to help me and my knowledge quest, then I'll make a commitment to give back by continuing to help other parents to be able to have the knowledge to help their children."
Her son Charles is now free of any sign of autism.
The seminar will be held at the Exceptional Foundation in Homewood at 6:00 p.m.
