PRATTVILLE, AL (WSFA) - A Prattville man has been charged with three felonies counts of 'Enticing a Child for Immoral Purposes' according to a statement released by the Prattville Police Department. The victim was less than sixteen years old but more than twelve years old.
Zachary Reed Emerson, of 500 Old Farm Lane, was arrested Friday afternoon and is being held in the Autauga Metro Jail with bond set at $15,000.00 in each case. He also has three misdemeanor charges of "Sexual Abuse 2nd Degree" with bond set at $500 in each case.
The alledged crimes occurred between July and October of this year at East Memorial Baptist Church where Emerson was a part time youth employee. The church was fully cooperative during the investigation.
Agencies involved in the investigation were the Prattville Police Department, the Department of Human Resources (DHR), Child Protect, and the District Attorney Office. The investigation is on going.
