Cynthia “Cindy” O. Lorino, M.D., has assisted women and their families as the director of breast imaging at Montgomery Breast Center since July 2002. Certified by the American Board of Radiology, she has published her medical findings in numerous journals, including The Alabama Journal of Medical Science, The British Journal of Radiology, Alabama Medicine and The American Surgeon. She has also presented at numerous teaching conferences across the country.
Dr. Lorino is a member of the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, the American Society of Breast Disease, and the Society for Breast Imaging. She is on the medical board of Women of Hope, and has served as president of the American Cancer Society Leadership Council. A summa cum laude graduate of the University of Alabama, she earned her Master of Science in microbiology there. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of South Alabama, where she also performed her internship in internal medicine and residency in diagnostic radiology.
Dr. Lorino and her husband Gaeton are involved in the Morgan horse community, having bread and raised a number of national and world champions. Active members of Frazer United Methodist Church, the couple also have two cream Chow Chows, Sugar Bear and Angel.
