NEW YORK, NY (WSFA) -  Two New York City EMTs are suspended and accused for refusing to help a pregnant woman who collapsed and later died. The EMTs allegedly refused to help the woman because they said they were on break.

Witnesses say the two fire department EMTs simply walked away to a nearby headquarters, telling workers in the bakery (where they were eating) to call 911.

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg said, "There is no excuse" for the EMTs actions.

The New York City fire department is now investigating.
