(NBC) - With less than 24 hours to go, Santa is anxious to get started on his trip around the world, but first he must see the hundreds of children who are lining up at his home in North Pole, Alaska to get in their last minute requests.
Thousands of letters still arrive daily, and the lucky ones bring their requests in person.
For Santa, tradition is what it's all about, but as this decade comes to a close hi-tech has become the new tradition.
"All these kids are asking for electronics games things we never heard of years ago, very hi-tech," say the Jolly Old Elf.
Santa's ride is still pretty low tech.
