Larry Langford requests sentence delay

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WSFA) - Former Birmingham mayor Larry Langford is looking for his sentencing to be delayed.

His lawyers have filed a request asking for the sentencing to be moved at least one week.

Langford's sentencing is set for February 26th, however, his attorneys are scheduled to be in Dallas, Texas that week.

A judge has not ruled on his request yet.

Langford was convicted and removed from office for government corruption.
