Celebrating police day in Iraq

BAGHDAD, IRAQ (WSFA) - Iraq's police force celebrated its 88th anniversary today with a parade in Baghdad.

Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki and a number of other Iraqi and U.S.senior officials attended the ceremony, held at the Interior Ministry Headquarters in eastern Baghdad.

Iraq's Prime Minister delivered a speech during the ceremony in which he stressed the importance of Iraq's police force taking over security in the country.

U.S. troops have partially withdrawn from Iraq and set to fully withdraw by the end of 2011.
