Free tax preparation services

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - "Impact Alabama" announced its free tax preparation services for Montgomery area working families on Monday.

The non-profit group will help families making less than $49,000.00 a year with kids and $20,000.00 without children.

The purpose is to help those eligible for the earned income tax credit.

The service will be available from now until February 27th.

    Amazon says an "unlikely" string of events prompted its Echo personal assistant device to record a Portland, Oregon, family's private conversation and then send the recording to an acquaintance in Seattle.
