Maxwell's 908th set for Haiti humanitarian mission

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The 908th Airlift Wing, home based at Maxwell Air Force Base here in Montgomery, is bringing much-needed aid to the people of Haiti.

A C-130 Hercules lifted off Friday afternoon and was quickly followed by three more flights over the weekend. A fifth flight is set for Wednesday morning.

The 908 wingmen, motto "Ready...Always", flies to Pope Air Force Base in North Carolina, where they load Army personnel for transport to earthquake-ravaged Haiti.

The flight will happen around 8:00am Wednesday.
