New quake in Haiti

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (AP) — A powerful new earthquake has hit Haiti, shaking rubble from damaged buildings and sending screaming people running into the streets.

The magnitude-6.1 temblor hit after 5:00 a.m. this morning about 35 miles from the capital of Port Au Prince. It was the largest aftershock since last week's quake.

Meanwhile, aid workers in Haiti continue to scramble to get food and water to the multitudes who need it.
