Goshen Teacher a Class Act

Goshen, AL (WSFA) - There's a whole lot of energy and a whole lot of love at Goshen Elementary School.   And first grade teacher Valorie Stroud is leading the way.    "I love the kids and watching them learn," Stroud said.   "And when that light bulb goes on, that's the most rewarding thing I can do."

She's been in the classroom for the last 5 years.   It's easy to see why these first graders love their teacher so much.   "My style is I just try to love them, and encourage them, and let them see that I support them."

Her goal is to make sure the students come out of her class as good readers, and she doesn't expect too much in return.    "When they come and say, hey Ms. Stroud I love you, that's the most rewarding part of my job."  They lover her too.   Congratulations Ms. Valorie Stroud, you're this week's Class Act.
