TROY, AL (WSFA) - In light of the disastrous earthquake in the country of Haiti, Troy students, Micah Grimes and Josh Johnson, have organized and produced a concert to raise money to help the victims of this disaster.

On Friday, January 29th, there will be an aid concert run and staffed entirely by college students with some of south Alabama's best artists, like The J. Harvey Johnson Band, Kenny Heard, The Park Band, and The Rez's Corey Reznar.

For all the Troy Football fans, Trojan legend and possible NFL draft pick Bear Woods and his band of all football players, The Nasty Nate Experience, will be playing in the concert.

All artists are donating their time in a combined effort to help the people of Haiti. All proceeds will be donated to charity.

The event is targeted at college students to give them a real medium to give to the people of Haiti, but it is open to anyone and everyone interested.

Entrance to the concert is five dollars. If you are able to give more please do.

The event is still in need of sponsors and donations. If you are interested in helping to sponsor this event, contact Micah Grimes at (863)-205-6742 or mgrimes37014@troy.edu.
