HOOVER, AL (WSFA) - The families of two of the young girls killed in a motel fire in Hoover have filed a lawsuit in the case.

The parents of Alondan Turner and Catherine Muse are suing the owners of the Days Inn along with  55 year old Dhirajlal Bagot, who was the maintenance worker on duty at the time of the fire.

The lawsuit alleges that the maintenance man and the motel owners caused or contributed to the deaths of four teenage victims.

An investigation revealed that the fire started in the maintenance man's room. He had incense burning, and is also an illegal immigrant, because his work permit expired several years ago.
