Update: Inmates denied parole

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The State Board of Pardons and Paroles heard a controversial appeal Tuesday.

Benjamin Boryang, McArthur Harris and Tyrone Gibson were asking to be paroled.

They were convicted of murdering one person, injuring two others and shooting at a fourth person during a random shooting spree in Montgomery and Elmore Counties in 1991.

The board rejected their request.
