Pilot is stable after crash landing

MARSHALL COUNTY, AL (WSFA)- A North Alabama pilot is recovering after his ultra-light plane crashed Wednesday afternoon in Marshall county.

Sheriff officials said the plan crashed short of its landing area. First responders on the scene said the pilot was lucky to survive the crash landing.

Rescue crews say the pilot may have two broken legs and possibly some internal injuries.

The survivor is in stable condition.
