MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - It was a rocking good time for children and teachers with the Adullam House this Friday.
Children of all ages could be seen reading and rocking in front of Sam's on Eastern Boulevard from noon until 7 yesterday, all to raise money for Haiti.
The bad weather didn't even manage to make them pack up, instead they continued rocking on and collecting donations.
"As our children began to watch the events in Haiti unfold, they became very touched by the fight in the children in Haiti and they really felt like they needed the chance to respond to what they were seeing. I felt it was really wonderful for them to be on the giving end instead of the receiving end of help," stated Angela Spackman, Adullam House director.
Organizers say they raised nearly $4,000.00.
An employee at Adullam House agreed to match the amount.
