Attorney General King and county DAs at odds

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Alabama's Attorney General and the state's District Attorneys are fighting before the state's highest court about each other's power.

The Alabama Supreme Court is deciding whether King can take over and dismiss lawsuits that some district attorneys filed against pharmacy companies.

The suits accuse the pharmacies of substituting generic drugs for name brands.

King says the suits are merit less and should be thrown out.

The Alabama District Attorneys Association argues that King is seeking super powers and trying to make all district attorneys subordinate to him.
