Pike County Starts Passport Service

News Release from Pike County Probate Judge.

Probate Judge Wes Allen Announces Passport Acceptance

Probate Judge Wes Allen is pleased to announce the Pike County Probate office will begin accepting passport applications on Monday, February 1, 2010 on behalf of the U.S. Department of State.  U.S. citizens planning on international travel may apply for their passports Monday-Friday from 8 AM until 4 PM at the Pike County Courthouse.

"The passport program in Pike County maintains our overall strategic vision of delivering the most effective and efficient services possible to the people," said Judge Allen.  "Currently, to apply for a passport, residents of Pike County must travel to another county to make such an application.  It makes sense to have that service available for our citizens."

For more information regarding the application form, fees, and documentation required, please contact the Pike County Probate office at (334) 566-1246 or log onto www.pikeprobate.com.
