Grant to help Eufaula plant re-emerge

A $100,000 grant is helping a Eufaula plant get back up and running.  M.C. Dixon Lumber Company, which closed in 2008, is re-emerging with plans to employ 63 people.  The sawmill first opened in Eufaula in 1928.

The Community Development Block Grant will assist the company with site and drainage improvement as part of a plan to upgrade plant and optimize production with new machinery and control systems.
