    In my editorial on Tuesday I chided our legislators for being the last state to pass a no-brainer  bill legalizing home brewing.  Today I want to challenge them to be one of the first states to pass another no-brainer;

    Kudos, or perhaps, cheers to the Alabama Legislature for passing HB9, the home brewing bill. Legalized home brewing may not be up there with education reform or prison funding, but it was overdue.

Today, I proudly proclaim Montgomery Alabama is the place I truly choose to call home!

 Growth is taking place around us daily.  Can't you see it?

With each of us working together, shoulder to shoulder for continued growth and improvement in our community, we are poised to become one of the greatest cities in America.

What is our role in helping to bring about change?

We can come to the table and provide new ideas, recommendations, and suggestions on how to improve our city, instead of sitting around criticizing those who work to move forward.

Don't spend a lot of time looking back.

Remember refection will only benefit us when we are truly ready to work to change past actions and if we can look up, then we can get up and work for positive change.
