HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Two preachers who are on the faculty of Oakwood University have received kidneys from a 14-year-old who was killed at school in Madison.
Discovery Middle School freshman Todd Brown was fatally shot Friday during a class change. A 14-year-old classmate is in the Neaves-Davis Center for Children, accused of the crime.
The kidney recipients were James Doggette, on the faculty of the religion and theology department, and James Caldwell, assistant dean in a male residence hall.
The Seventh-day Adventist Church at Oakwood will be the site of Todd's funeral on Friday.
