City crackdowns on prostitution

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA)- Numerous complaints from citizens and business owners force police to continue to crack down on prostitution in the city. Since last year 26 prostitutes have been busted.

Wednesday, Five women between the ages of 28 through 53, were arrested for allegedly accepting money in exchange for sex in the areas of West Boulevard, Mobile Highway, Oak Street, and Early Street. Male patrol officers acting as undercover customer's were approached by the following individuals:

  • Patricia Bishop,
  • Tracy Fuller
  • Tawana Hubbard
  • Joyce Jordan
  • Brenda Trammer

Prostitution is a misdemeanor and is punishable by up to a year in the city jail
