Tuskegee, AL (WSFA) -  Neighbors in Tuskegee learned Saturday that a longtime friend was among the dead in Friday's mass shooting at the University of Alabama Huntsville.

Officials confirm Dr. Adriel Johnson died in the gunfire.

Investigators say Professor Amy Bishop shot six people around 4 o'clock Friday afternoon.

Dr. Gopi Podila, Dr. Maria Davis, and Dr. Adriel Johnson were killed.

A longtime friend and Tuskegee native, Frank Lee, says it was a tough loss.

Dr. Johnson was in his wedding and the two were Eagle Scouts together as children.

Lee said, "He was just an outgoing and All-American guy.  He was a good, strong man."
