Montgomery, AL (WSFA) - Some people were just born to teach. That's definitely the case with Karla Struggs from Seth Johnson Elementary School in Montgomery. "I come from a family of teachers," Struggs said. "My mom is a retired teacher, my sister teaches, my sister-in-law teaches, I guess that's what I was born to do."
She's been teaching for 16 years, but 3 years ago she made the move to kindergarten. She says it's the perfect fit. "We come to class and we have fun. We have good attitudes and set goals, and when we accomplish those goals we set new ones."
As for being named a Class Act award winner, she like to share in the celebration. "It does make me happy to know that someone thought enough of me and my class to nominate us" Congratulations Ms. Karla Struggs, you're a real Class Act.
