Pentagon announcement Wednesday on air tanker contract

The U.S. Air Force is expected to release its final proposal for bids on the nearly nine year old campaign to get new aerial refueling tankers.  Bloomberg reports the Pentagon has a news conference scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.

The bidding is expected to be led by Boeing and Northtrup Grumman.  Northrup Grumman and EADS already won the job once, but the decision was overturned.

This is important to Alabama because if Northrup Grumman wins, they will build in south Alabama.
