AUM wins road game against Brewton-Parker

MT. VERNON, GA - Nathan Thomas had 15 points and seven rebounds to lead Auburn University at Montgomery to a 55-50 win at Brewton-Parker College.

The game was tight from start to finish, as AUM led 27-25 and neither team led by more than five points.

It was a defensive struggle as both teams shot 36 percent from the field.  The difference was AUM's ability to control the boards as AUM out rebounded BPC 37-26.

Stephen Jordan had a game-high 12 rebounds while scoring seven points and Charles Perona scored 12 points.  Thomas also added two more blocked shots, becoming the all-time leader at AUM in blocked shots with 193.  The record was held by Glenn Ferguson who played from 1979-83.

AUM moves to 13-11 overall and maintains its hold on third place in the conference with an 8-5 record.  BPC falls to 8-21 overall and 2-11 in the conference.

AUM will end its regular season at Southern Polytech on Saturday.  The two teams are scheduled to begin play at 3 p.m.
