AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Auburn basketball is about to say goodbye to Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum.
The Tigers play their final game in the 42-year-old arena Wednesday night against Mississippi State. They move to Auburn Arena for next season.
Auburn will celebrate with a video montage of coliseum highlights. Wally Tinker made the first basket in the facility in 1969 against LSU and Pete Maravich. After the game, he'll make the final one.
Beard-Eaves has been home to a 60-point performance by John Mengelt against Alabama and a couple of Southeastern Conference champion Auburn teams. Elvis, The Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen have performed at the now-aging facility.
Wednesday's game will also be the home finale for seniors Lucas Hargrove, Brendon Knox, Johnnie Lett, DeWayne Reed and Tay Waller.
