Auburn welcomes Miami-Ohio for three game series

AUBURN, AL – The Auburn baseball team will close out its season-opening 11-game home stand with a three-game series against Miami (Ohio) at Plainsman Park beginning at 6:30pm on Friday. Auburn comes into the series winners of three straight and 6-2 overall while Miami is 2-4.

Auburn will start So. RHP Jon Luke Jacobs (0-1, 6.00 ERA) on Friday and Jr. LHP Grant Dayton (0-1, 7.00) on Saturday but has not announced a Sunday starter. Jr. LHP Cole Nelson (2-0, 0.73) has started the last two Sunday's but is currently away from the team due to a family illness.

Miami will counter with Jr. LHP Tyler Melling (0-1, 6.17) on Friday, Sr. RHP Reece Asbury (0-1, 9.45) on Saturday and Fr. RHP Brooks Fiala (0-0, 6.75) on Sunday.

Game times for the other two games are 3pm on Saturday and 1pm on Sunday.

Sunday is Family Day and with an advance purchase fans can buy four tickets, four hot dogs and four drinks for $30. It is also Autograph Day and there will be a team photo card giveaway and post-game autograph session.
